∵ Δ ABC ≈ Δ PQR
∴ Ar ( Δ ABC ) / Ar ( Δ PQR ) = ( AB/PQ)²
( According to the theorem on similarity of triangles)
∴ Ar ( Δ ABC ) / Ar ( Δ PQR ) = ( 1/3)²
∴ Ar ( Δ ABC ) / Ar ( Δ PQR ) = 1 / 9
∴ Ar ( Δ ABC ) / Ar ( Δ PQR ) = ( AB/PQ)²
