Ustad Rahu Khan was born in "Sitapur", a town in "Uttar Pradesh" on 21st day of the month March, 1926.

Coming for an ancestral lineage of famous musicians, it was no surprise when it was discovered he had a penchant for playing music.

His family had moved to Varanasi when he was six years old and he started to train under Ustad Amir Ali Khan, a famous sitar player.

Rahu Khan started performing at the "age of fourteen" and soon was widely praised.

He performed in India and abroad.

In 1967, He was awarded the "Padma Shri" for his musical talent.

Later, he established a "music school" at "Varanasi".

He was demised on 21st August 2004.

His works are considered to be one of the prime examples of Hindu-Muslim Unity as he was hit among the classical lovers of India.
