Answer:

Internal migration or domestic migration is human migration within a country. Internal migration tends to be travel for education and for economic improvement or because of a natural disaster or civil disturbance.[1] Cross-border migration often occurs for political or economic reasons. A general trend of movement from rural to urban areas, in a process described as urbanisation, has also produced a form of internal migration.[

Assertion (A): The young seagull was alone on the ledge. Reason (R): His family migrated to another continent.

Both the assertion and reason are true.

  • The young seagull was alone on his ledge. On his ledge, the little bird was alone. The day prior, his two brothers and sister had already gone out. He had been apprehensive about flying with them. He felt terrified after running forward to the ledge's edge and attempting to flutter his wings. The vastness of the water extended under them, and it was miles below.
  • He bobbed his head & fled back to a small hole beneath the ledge as he slept at night, convinced that his wings would never sustain him. Even as each of his own went to the edge, fluttered their wings, and soared away, he couldn't summon the courage to accept the risk that seemed so desperate to him.
  • His dad and mom had come around, yelling at him, chastising him, and threatening to starve him on his ledge if he didn't go, and he flew away. But he couldn't move for his survival.
  • It had been twenty-four hours since then. None had approached him ever since. He had spent the previous day, all day, watching his parents fly about that with his sister and brothers, polishing their flight skills and instructing them well how to slide the wave & dive for fish.
  • In reality, he had witnessed his elder brother catch his first herring and swallow it while standing on a rock, surrounded by his delighted parents. And the entire family had spent the morning ridiculing him for his cowardice on the large plateau halfway down the other cliff.
