Shirdi, a place of religious importance, is famous for the Samadhi Mandir of Shri Sai Baba. It can be visited
throughout the year. Shirdi has its own small station; but the other conventional railheads are Manmad (60 km) and
Nashik (123 km). There are regular buses from various cities/towns, while the nearest airport is at Aurangabad (144
km).
There are plenty of places to stay in Shirdi, right from private hotels to various charitable sansthas such as
Sevadham, Shanti Niwas, etc. The main attraction in Shirdi is Shri Sai Baba’s marvellous statue in Italian marble made
by the late Shri Balaji Vasant, which shows Baba seated on a golden throne. One can also view the things used by Baba.
