hi......

given, f(x) = 5x + 1 and g(x) = 3x + 7

(2f - 7g) (-2) =

2f = 2(5x + 1) = 10x + 2

7g = 7(3x + 7) = 21x + 49

(2f - 7g) = (10x + 2 -21x -49) =

= ( -11x - 47)

(2f - 7g) (-2) =  so,here substitue -2 in the place of x

( -11 ( -2) - 47) = 22 -47

= -25

hope this helps.................
