Since, we know that u is the initial velocity of the body hence, we use the newtons laws of motion to get the value of initial velocity u= gt since we know the value of g is 10 and time t is 1 and also final velocity v is 0 m/s.

So, u = 10 m/s. Hence, again applying Newton's laws of motion we will get that height h = u^2/2a. Hence, on applying the values of u as 10 and a as 10 we will get the value of height as 5m.
