Sir
When the fourth pillar of democracy, the media, is stifled, democracy dies too. Attempts to curtail the media are an attempt to stifle the voice of the people. Freedom of speech and expression are a constitutional right and cannot be infringed upon by the state. By this token, no government has the right to dictate what the media can or cannot report. It is the right and the duty of the media to bring to the attention of the citizen all matters of import.
