Given

Initial velocity = 25 m/s

Flight angle = 25°

To Find

Range of the projectile

Solution

We know that

\sf \longrightarrow R=\dfrac{u^{2} \sin 2 \theta}{g}

Here

  • R = range
  • u = initial velocity
  • θ = angle of flight
  • g = acceleration due to gravity

According to the question

We are asked to find the rage of the projectile

Therefore

We must find "R"

Given that

Initial velocity = 25 m/s

Flight angle = 25°

Hence

  • u = 25 m/s
  • θ = 25°

We know that

  • g = 10 m/s²

Substituting the values

We get

\sf \longrightarrow R=\dfrac{25^{2} \times \sin (2 \times 25)}{10} \ m

\sf \longrightarrow R=\dfrac{625 \times \sin (50)}{10} \ m

\sf \longrightarrow R=\dfrac{625 \times 0.76}{10} \ m

\sf \longrightarrow R=\dfrac{478.7}{10} \ m

Therefore

\sf \longrightarrow R=47.87 \ m

Hence

Range of the projectile = 47.87 m
