area of trapezium =1/2×sum of the lengths of parallel sides×height
=1/2×(AB+DC)×4cm
=1/2×(5cm+8 cm )×4cm
=13 cm ×2 cm
=26cm
area of trapezium =26cm

length of one side = l(AD)= l(BC)= 4cm
