Solution :-

given that, L1 || L2

So,

→ ∠1 = 40° { Corresponding angles }

now, given that, L2 || L3 .

So,

→ ∠1 = ∠2 { Corresponding angles }

→ ∠2 = 40°

now,

→ ∠2 + x = 180° { Linear pair }

→ 40° + x = 180°

→ x = 180° - 40°

→ x = 140° (Ans.)

Hence, value of x is equal to 140° .
