Given a point (a,b) on the Euclidean plane, for any non-zero real number t, the triplet (at, b t, t) is called a set of homogeneous coordinates for that point.The original coordinates can be obtained by dividing the first two coordinates by third coordinate.

As, given point is homogeneous representation of point P =(2,4,8)

When , you transform it into original euclidean coordinate you have to divide the first two coordinate by third coordinate.

So,  coordinates of the transformed point P* is (\frac{2}{8}, \frac{4}{8})=(\frac{1}{4},\frac{1}{2})
