Length of the line AP = 4

Length of the line AQ = 6

Length of the line AC = 21

Length of the line AB = 4 + x

x is the lenght of line PB that is to be find.

We will apply the law of Equilateral triangle here to solve the problem of unknown length PB that is denoted by x.

For triangle ΔAPQ = \frac{4}{6}

For triangle ΔABC = \frac{x+4}{21}

Equalising the two triangles because PQ II BC

ΔAPQ = ΔABC

\frac{4}{6} = \frac{x+4}{21}

\frac{4 x 21}{6} = x + 4

14 = x + 4

x = 10
