Given : S=( x/x is a positive integer),  A= x/x is a integer less than 3

To find : proper subsets of s that are also subsets of A

Solution:

S=( x/x is a positive integer)

S = { 1  , 2 , 3 ..........................., .....}

A= x/x is a integer less than 3

A  = { ............... -1 , 0 , 1 , 2 }

A ∩ S  = { 1 , 2}

proper subsets of s that are also subsets of A

= { 1 }  , { 2 } , { 1 , 2} {}

There are 4 proper subset of S that are also subsets of A
