Given sin²theta +cos²theta=1 prove that 1+tan²theta =sec²theta​

Given =

 { sin}^{2}  +  {cos}^{2}  = 1

To prove =

1 +  {tan}^{2}  =  {sec}^{2}

using given conditions,

Divide the given equation by cos ^2 , we get

sin^2+cos^2=1/cos^2

1 +  {tan}^{2}  =  {sec}^{2}

Hence proved
