Hey Dear,

◆ Answer -

g = 9.8 m/s^2

◆ Explanation -

# Given -

s = 5390 cm = 53.9 m

# Solution -

For first 5 s of motion,

s1 = u.t1 + 1/2 a.t1^2

s1 = 0×5 + 1/2 × g × 5^2

s1 = 25/2 g

For first 6 s of motion,

s2 = u.t2 + 1/2 a.t2^2

s2 = 0×6 + 1/2 × g × 6^2

s2 = 36/2 g

Distance travelled in 6th s is calculated by -

s = s2 - s1

53.9 = 36/2 g - 25/2 g

53.9 = 11/2 g

g = 53.9×2 / 11

g = 9.8 m/s^2

Therefore, value of g would be 9.8 m/s^2.

Thanks dear..
