Answer:

To Find the 3rd term put the value of n=3 in tn

t3=12

To find the fifth term put n=5 in tn

t5=22

t5-t3=22-12=10

SOLUTION

  • Given

Nth term of sequence = Tn = 5n - 3

TO FIND 5th terms

put n = 1 we get, 5 - 3 = 2

put n = 2 we get, 10 - 3 = 7

put n = 3 we get, 15 - 3 = 12

put n = 4 we get, 20 - 3 = 17

  • Then sequence is =

2,7,12,17........

  • First term = a = 2
  • Common difference = d = 7-2 = 5

5th term = T5 = a + 4d

2 + 4 (5)

2 + 20

22

Hence,

T5 term = 22 = ANSWER
