Given :  Z is a standard normal random variable.

To Find :  the value of Z if the area to the right of Z is 0.1401

Solution:

area to the right of Z is 0.1401

=> area to the left of Z is 1 - 0.1401  = 0.8599

From z score table:

0.8599  is for z value 1.08

Hence  value of Z is 1.08  if  the area to the right of Z is 0.1401
