Given the function ƒ(x )=x^2 + 2x -5, find ƒ(-4).

f(-4)=-4^2+2*4-5
=16+8-5
=24-5
=19

tamekanstiltner: Wouldn't it be f(-4)=-4^2+2*-4-5??
