we know that
lcm * hcf = product of two numbers

as per question

  300 * hcf = 150 * 100

        hcf    = 15000/300

         hcf  =  50

Concept

LCM stands for Least Common Multiple whereas HCF stands for Highest Common Factor.

LCM * HCF = Product of numbers

Given

LCM (150,100) = 300

Find

HCF (150, 100)

Solution

As we know that

LCM * HCF = Product of numbers

LCM (150,100) = 300

Let HCF (150, 100) be x

Calculating LHS

300 * x

Calculating RHS

150*100

=15000

LHS = RHS

300 * x = 15000

x = 50

HCF (150, 100) = 50
