We know that the ratio of areas of two similar triangles is equal to the square of the ratio of its corresponding sides
ar ABC/ar PQR=(AB/PQ)^2
=(1/3)^2
=1/9
Thus ratio of area if triangle ABC to that of triangle PQR is 1:9
ar ABC/ar PQR=(AB/PQ)^2
=(1/3)^2
=1/9
Thus ratio of area if triangle ABC to that of triangle PQR is 1:9
