Given x square+y square=10 and xy=3 find the value of 3(x-y)square+2(x+y)square

(ii) (a - b)² = a² + b² - 2ab

Here ,

given that

x² + y² = 10 & xy = 3

Now,

(x-y)² = x² + y² - 2xy

=> (x - y)² = 10 - 2 × 3 = 10 - 6 = 4

and

(x + y)² = x² + y² + 2xy

=> (x + y)² = 10 + 2× 3 = 10 + 6 = 16

we have to find

3 ( x - y)² + 2 (x + y)² = ?

putting values,,,

=> 3 × 4 + 2 × 16

=> 12 + 32 = 44 Answer
