it is of three types                                                                                                                       1. acidic buffer                                                                                                                           2. basic buffer                                                                                                                               3. neutral buffer

Acidic buffer

the type of buffer formed by the combination of weak acid and its salt with strong base

example of acidic buffer is "CH3COOH and CH3COONa

Basic buffer

the type of buffer formed by the combination of weak base and its salt with strong acid

NH4OH and NH4Cl

Neutral buffer

the type of buffer that contain equal concentration of hydrogen and hydroxil ion is called neutral buffer

CH3COONH4
