giving is better than recieving essay

Answer:
Before giving, the mind of the giver is happy; while giving, the mind of the giver is made peaceful; and having given, the mind of the giver is uplifted. – Buddha” This quote, to me, represents a good mindset of the idea that giving is better than receiving. In my own life giving has played a huge part in me becoming who I am today, branching from all kinds of things that have happened to me in my life, and those things have always been positive. That is why I believe that giving is better than receiving.
Imagine this: you see a homeless man with raggedy jeans and a stained white shirt walking around with a sign made of cardboard saying, “Help me,” do you bother to stop by and give this less fortunate man some change and help him? I would because I know that even the littlest of change could add up and mean the world to this man and so if you were to give this man some change not only would it make this man happy, I am sure that just as Buddha said, it will uplift the mind of the giver, thus making you feel good that you did something positive.
Another example explaining the theory that giving is better than receiving would be on Christmas. People all around the nation on this day give and also receive but a problem that people don’t see is that very day, on December 25, everyone gathers with family and friends and gives and receives gifts, and even gives to community for a change, but what about the other 364 days? What are they doing then to give back to their community, the less fortunate, and animals, and its those ideas can cause common misconception, such when people say, “I’m doing my part”, but are they really is the problem. That brings me to the idea that if everyone gave back a little more the world would change drastically, for the better.
Personally giving, benefits me in alot of different ways like the feeling or the fact that I donated or gave something of mine, and I believe that in time I will also receive greatly from any act of giving. One time when I was about 9 years old I was running crazily door to door from each house collecting candy because it was Halloween. After a tiring day of running around I had collected a vast amount of candy all stuffed into a garbage bag the size of probably 4 of my heads together. The next day my mom saw an ad for a donation center where you could go donate food items and other stuff you would like to donate, so my mom asked if I wanted to donate my candy I had gotten the previous night. I thought about it for a while until finally I caved in and agreed. When we arrived we were greeted by a lady who took our bag and told us that the candy would go to orphans in Bulgaria. After she said that the uneasiness in my stomach had faded because I knew that even though I was giving up my hard earned candy I knew I was helping a kid in need. About a week later I came home from school and my mom handed me a candy bar the size of my head. When I asked her why she gave me this, she said she was proud of me for giving up my candy and had rewarded me. And that was a major point in my life when I realized giving is much better than receiving.
In conclusion giving is like a boomerang, you may throw it really far, but in time it will always comeback to you. And personally I feel that giving, no matter how little or how large will always result in the same way, both sides, the giver and the receiver will both be cheerful. Thus bringing me to my conclusion which is that I believe giving is better than receiving.

hope it's helpful. thanks
If I had to choose between opening gifts from someone or giving gifts to someone, I would choose the giving. I like to give gifts more than receive them. I find it very enriching to have my family and friends enjoy the present that I gave them.
