OXIDATION MEANS ADDITION OF OXYGEN AND REMOVAL OF HYDROGEN.
FOR EG. 2MG+O2=2MGO
H2S+CL2=2HCL+S
REDUCTION MEANS REMOVAL OF QXYGEN AND ADDITION OF HYDROGEN.
FOR EG. CuO(s) + H2(g) → Cu(s) + H2O(l)
H2S(g) + Cl2(g) → 2HCl(g) + S(s)
