Given that,

Refractive index of glass = 1.54

Real depth= 3 cm

We need to calculate the apparent depth

Using formula of height

\mu=\dfrac{real\ depth}{apparent\ depth}

Put the value into the formula

1.54=\dfrac{3}{apparent\ depth}

apparent\ depth=\dfrac{3}{1.54}

apparent\ depth=1.94\ cm

We need to calculate the height through which image of the stamp raised

Using formula of height

h = real depth - apparent depth

Put the value into the formula

h =3 -1.94

h =1.06\ cm

Hence,  The height through which image of the stamp raised is 1.06 cm.
