Glass objects from ancient civilizations are found to becomes milky

in appearance. why ?

Glass is a amorphous solid. But after long time and with high temperature, it starts getting converted into crystalline form. Hence, some glass objects from ancient civilisations are found to become milky in appearance because of some crystallisation.
