Even hot, concentrated sulphuric acid does not attack glass. Among acids, only hydrofluoric acid (HF) is known to attack glass, as it reacts with silica present in glass to form hydrofluorosilicic acid. ... Other mineral acids do not attack or react with glass even at higher temperatures.
