The history of tea dates back to ancient China, almost 5,000 years ago. According to legend, in 2732 B.C. Emperor Shen Nung discovered tea when leaves from a wild tree blew into his pot of boiling water. He was immediately interested in the pleasant scent of the resulting brew, and drank some. It was at that time tea was discovered by him.

During that moment burst of wind shook tree branch above him and brought many leaves into boiling water. The Indian legend says that a Buddhist monk, Bodhidharma cut off his eyelids as he felt sleepy during the meditation. Later, ten tea plants grew up from there. The leaves of these plants when put in hot water and drunk banished sleep.The "Healthiest" Tea  - White tea, for instance, has the highest concentration of antioxidants because it is the least processed tea. By this standard, it might be considered the "healthiest" of them all. As far as antioxidants are concerned, white tea is followed by jasmine tea, green tea, then black tea.
