GLOBAL WARMING- The radiations from the sun enters the earth's atmosphere but are unable to escape. This increases the temperature of Earth. This is called greenhouse effect. The increase in temperature of the earth is contributing to the phenomenon called global warming.

EFFECT OF GREENHOUSE GASES- The phenomenon in which the earth's atmosphere traps the heat from the sun and stops it from going into outer space is known as greenhouse effect
There are some gases called greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide, methane, ozone, chloroflorocarbons and water vapour. The increase in the amount of these gases causes the following effects :
1. Change in climatic conditions, especially by raising of the global temperature.
2. Increasing chances of infectious diseases like malaria, dengue etc.
3. Less or high rainfall.
4. Rise in sea level.
