Global Warming is caused by the following:
1. Burning of fossil fuels
2. Factories belching smoke
3. Airplanes flying in the skies
4. Forest fires
5. Rapid destruction of forests for agriculture and industry.
All these factors are responsible for emitting much of the carbon dioxide that is present in the atmosphere which in turn has led to an increase in the earth's average temperature.

Global warming is very harmful for the earth in the long run. Unless human are very careful and make changes in their lifestyles, global warming will keep increasing. Here are some of the future effects of the global warming:
1 Global Warming will worsen climate change, which is already taking place.
2. Climate changes will cause disturbance in weather patterns and lead to frequent and heavy floods in some places and severe droughts in others.
3. Climate change will cause melting of polar ice caps with huge chunks of icebergs several kilometres across breaking off from the mainland.
4. Many forms of wildlife are now at risk since climate changes and deforestation are causing disappearance of their habitat.
5. Temperature changes are causing changes in the flow of ocean currents. This could permanently alter the movements of ocean current, causing a mini- ice -age in the mid and higher latitudes in Europe and Asia.
