The consumers have a greater choice of goods in the market.
The producers of two different countries closely compete in the market and therefore the price of similar goods  in the two markets  are almost the same.
In order to increase the sales, the producers will sell their goods at lower prices and therefore the consumers benefit as they good at much lower costs.
For example: China exported its toys to india where toys were usually sold at high prices. So the consumers got an opportunity to choose between indian and  chinese toys. Since the chinese toys had different designs and were cheaper, the consumers preferred chinese toys over indian ones and therefore the sales of chinese toys increased. So the consumers were able to get new designs of toys at lower prices.
