The correct question will be :

How globalization has increased the child labour and slavery in our country ?

Globalization has increased the child labour and slavery in our country due to the following reasons :

- As our country is developing on a global scale so there is a requirement of huge labour and capital for the growth.

- So these developing countries target unemployed and uneducated children for labour work so that they need not to pay them much and there work would also get completed on time.

- Children of rural areas are mostly uneducated which is the prime cause of increment in the child labour.

- If we talk about slavery then it's the another name for working at any place just to meet our needs and maintain our livelihood.

Globalization and child labour interact in two ways. it directly or indirectly affects the children through social and environmental policies.

Globalization has increased child labour as -

  • Globalization increases the job opportunities and earnings for poor households in many countries. This leads to an increased competition for local labour, and higher wage.
  • Changes from globalization in local labour markets can increase the child labour. Indirectly,  children are expected to take over few tasks that adults usually do within their home.
  • Children have less experience than adults, and are less qualified to work. As a result, working under such conditions affect them physically as well as mentally.
  • Child labour availability also promotes economic inefficiency by increasing the supply of low-skilled workers.
  • As a result of globalization, as one child earns money, other children may also stop attending the school, to earn money.
