Glucose and oxygen are the reactants when respiration takes place in cells.Oxygen is absorbed into the blood in the lungs. How are the lungs are adapted for this function?

In lungs alveoli is the place of gaseous exchange . So oxygen goes into lungs then via alveoli through diffusion to blood capallaries inside blood and CO2 from blood goes to alveoli and further out of body
