Glucose, ethylalcohol etc. contains hydrogen, yet their solutions do not turn blue litmus to red. Why ?

Explanation:

Solutions of compounds like glucose ,ethylalcohol etc. do not form hydrogen ion, (or simply ionise or dissociate) on dissolving in water. Due to this they couldn't show acidic character and hence do not turn blue litmus paper to red.
