Glucose is an aldose sugar but it does not react with sodium hydrogen sulphite

Glucose is a biomolecule which doesn’t have any aldehyde groups as the sodium hydrogen sulphite is used to reduce the simply aldehyde groups. The other reason is that due to the very bulky size of the sulphate ion.
