Extracellular superoxide dismutase, EC-SOD, the main superoxide dismutase in biological fluids, is known from its lectin binding to be a glycoprotein. We have characterized the glycosylation of recombinant EC-SOD. A tryptic digest of the protein contained only one glycosylated peptide.
