Go to any railway reservation counter or places where bills or other payments are made. You will see that there are separate queues for elderly people and women. In buses run by state authorities, there are seats reserved for the handicapped and also for women passengers. Should these facilities be provided? Do these special provisions violate the Right to Equality? Explain.

Answer:

In the railway stations and in other places seats are therefore reserved for the elderly, handicapped, and pregnant women. They do not violate the Right to Equality. These facilities should be provided to the citizens as it can further help in the development of the nation. And the faith that the citizens have in the Government facilities increases and so does the bond between common people and the Government. Hence these facilities should be provided to the handicapped, elderly and pregnant women.
