Answer:

Brazil has not long history like Most Asian Countries. The history of Brazil begins in 1500 when Portuguese arrived in North Brazil.

Portuguese and Spaniards has come to Americas searching for gold, silver and precious stones, in short the easy mean to get rich in a short time.

The Tordesilhas treatise (1492) had grand Spanish the west side and Portuguese the east side of Americas. Spaniards have found advanced civilizations who were quite aware of metals, copper, silver and gold. In short their search for gold was short and quite successful, close to the America’s sea coast.

Portuguese have not been so lucky. Many expeditions have penetrate inland looking for gold, silver and precious stones and only about 1710 gold was finally found in inner land.

Then we have the first objective in going west. GOLD. Searching for gold is to our days one of permanent objectives of going west.

SECOND: Brazilian population have been growing close to sea coast, and moved to inner lands navigating rivers. In the twentieth century rail roads and other roads improved transportation to inner lands and many people have come to buy cheap lands, a guarantee of food and survival.

Slowly agriculture improved and has become a profitable business and such have cause a some migration to west lands, in central Brazil, not in to the Amazon jungle.

Corn and soy have become the new “GOLD”, based in technology and investments.

THIRD: Migration in t the Amazon jungle are still cause by gold searching, and basic survival. There is no organized agriculture business in Amazon, due to the restrictive laws imposed on the “Legal Amazon”. Investors do not go in to Amazon because the laws prevent agriculture business in it
