Story of Lokenath Brahmachari
Once upon a time, there was a great saint, named Lokenath Brahmachari. He was an Indian spiritual guru of the highest order, but lived a down to earth life.
One day, one of his disciples, Parama, visited his math to invite him for a feast. As a saint, the guru could not reject his disciple's request.
He nodded his head with a smile, but gave no reply to how and when he would arrive her house.
As usual, the feast began. People from all over the society started to join. Various dishes were being served.
Some dogs also came to take their part in the feast with the food thrown in dust. But as dogs started eating from the dust, the master of the house got disgusted with this.
He took a stick and started beating those dogs badly. At this, the dogs fled for their life.
The next morning the disciple visited Lokenath Brahmachari. She asked him why he did not visited her house.
Lokanath Brahmachari gave a smile and showed her back where were only the stripes of beating by a stick.
Then he said, "I went their as a dog and when you cannot feed a dog, how will you feed me?"
