Superman is far more powerful than King Kong, who, after all, is just a large gorilla. In fact, Superman, or his cousin Supergirl, for that matter, would have to restrain themselves... for if either fought Kong going "full strength", there would be a very dead gorilla, very quickly. Either Kryptonian could kill Kong by a concentrated use of their "heat vision", without even getting near the animal's reach... or by using super speed, hit Kong with multiple blows... any one of which would be fatal to Kong...and many of them together would reduce Kong to a blood splattered mass of fur! However, fortunately for Kong, neither Superman or his cousin would be so brutal against what is essentially a defenseless wild animal and both would only seek to use the minimum strength necessary to subdue King Kong so they could transport him to a place both safe for him... and far away from people as well... to insure their safety from Kong. The morality and decency of both Superman and Supergirl would be Kong's best protection in a fight, as neither Kryptonian would want to kill him... unless there was no other choice... in order to save others!
