There once lived a dog who was 'very hungry' and went in 'search of food'. After searching for a very long time since he had finally found a piece of bone. He picked the bone and held it in his mouth and decided to go to his home and have it. On the way to his home, while crossing a small river bridge, the dog 'saw his reflection in the water'.
The dog had thought there was another dog in the water having a bone too and wanted to snatch that bone from that other dog. In order to do so, he opened his mouth to grab the other bone; however, while trying to do this, the bone that he had held in his mouth had fallen into the river. Alas! Due to his greed and foolishness the dog lost the bone that he had gotten with great difficulty and had to go home hungry!
Moral: Greed never helps and is a curse
