Answer:
The Golghar or Gol Ghar is a big granary situated to the west of the Gandhi Maidan in Patna, India. As the proverb says “Necessity is the mother of invention”, the British officers came up with a unique idea to store grains for an emergency. The Golghar was planned to be just the first of a series of massive grain stores as per the contemporary inscription at its base.
