\implies \sf{1+x+4(-2)=0}

\implies \sf{1+x-8=0}

\implies \sf{-7+x=0}

\implies \sf{x=+7}

Hence, oxidation state of \sf{KMnO_{4}} is +7.

\implies \sf{2(1)+x+4(-2)=0}

\implies \sf{2+x-8=0}

\implies \sf{x-6=0}

a) oxidation state of KMnO4

=> 1 + x + 4(-2) = 0

=> 1 + x -8 = 0

=> x - 7 = 0

=> x = +7

so, oxidation state of KMnO4 is +7

b) oxidation state of K2MnO

=> 2 +x + 4(-2) = 0

=> 2+ x- 8 =0

=> x - 6 = 0

=> x = +6

so, oxidation state of K2MnO4 is +6

c) oxidation state of \sf{{MnO_{4}}^{2-}}

=> x + 4 (-2) = -2

=> x - 8 = -2

=> x = -2+8

=> x = +6

so, oxidation state of \sf{{MnO_{4}}^{2-}} is +6

d) oxidation state of \sf{{MnO_{4}}^{-}}

=> x + 4(-2) = -1

=> x -8 = -1

=> x = -1 + 8

=> x = +7
