Answer:

Applying Pythagoras theorem

26 ^ { 2 } =24 ^ { 2 } +x ^ { 2 } \\ 676=576+x^{2} \\ x^{2}=676-576 \\ x^{2}=100 \\ the \: posinble \: vales \: are \\ x=10 \\ x=-10

as it the length of the trial it will be positive x that is 10cm

Given :

  • Shape = Right angle triangle
  • First side of the triangle = 24cm
  • Second side of the triangle = 26cm

To Find :

  • Find the third side of the right angled triangle ?

Solution :

  • Using Pythagoras Theorem :

➣ (H)² = (P)² + (B)²

According to the question :

➣ (H)² = (P)² + (B)²

➣ (26)² = (24)² + (B)²

➣ 676 = 576 + (B)²

➣ 676 - 576 = (B)²

➣ 100 = (B)²

➣ B = 10

Hence,

  • The third side of the right angled triangle is 10cm.
