The happy prince, when alive, wasted all his life in the luxury, inside a palace. He didn't think about his peoples. But when he died and his statue was built at the top of the town, he felt sad. If he could have helped his people when he was alive, he could not see the sad moment, hence from this we conclude that good deeds always make one happy.
