\large{\underline{\underline{\mathrm{\red{Answer-}}}}}

Number of shirts can be stitched = 18

Remained cloth = 130 cm

\large{\underline{\underline{\mathrm{\red{Explanation-}}}}}

It is given that, to stitch a single shirt, we need 2 m 15 cm cloth.

=> Cloth required to stitch one shirt = 200 + 15

=> Cloth required to stitch one shirt = 215 cm

It is also given that, length of cloth is 40 m.

=> Length of cloth = (40 × 100) cm

=> Length of cloth = 4000 cm.

Number of shirts can be stitched = 4000/215

=> Number of shirts can be stitches = 18.6

As number os shirts can't be in decimal, therefore we can say that 18 shirts can be stitched and 130 cm cloth will remain.

 \bf{ \large{ \underline{ \:  \:  \:  \:  \: Given :}}}

  • Cloth is needed to stitch 1 shirt = 2 m 15 cm .
  • Total cloth available = 40 m

 \bf{ \large{ \underline{ \:  \:  \:  \:  \: We \:  know \:  that :}}}

  • 1 m = 100 cm

Cloth is needed to stitch 1 shirt = 215 cm .

Total cloth available = 4000 cm .
