Explanation:

Image will appear larger when it is placed between C and F and before 2F

ho= height of the object

hi= height of the image

hi= 3ho

magnification= -v/u= hi/ho

v/-30 = 3ho/ho

v=-90 i.e 90 cm in front of mirror -b

Mirror formula = 1/f= 1/u + 1/v.

1/f= -1/30 +( - 1/90)

=-3-1/90

= -4/90

f=-90/4 =-22.5 cm -a

Hope this. helps
