In general, it's not good to have enemies... If you're talking about enemies who want to hurt you physically or emotionally, then I don't think so. However, if you have "enemies" because you stand for something that you believe is right and you refuse to compromise your principles, it might not be such a bad thing.

Answer:

Enemies are important. Actually the correct term would be “rivals”.People often say that we should avoid competitions with people. But this competitive nature is what makes someone “Great”. We have living legends who have proved this. Facebook was developed as a result of Mark Zuckerberg's desire to build a platform better than MySpace. If he hadn't developed that desire, we wouldn't have witnessed the world's greatest social networking site. Now Let's go back in history to a time when the world witnessed the “War of Currents”, or we may say the clash between the 2 kings of electricity, Edison and Tesla. Edison surprised the world with his concept of DC power so much that this concept was used to generate electricity all over the world. But Tesla later discovered a more efficient way of generating electricity which was even better than Edison's. He did this because he knew somewhere in his mind that there are better ways to generate electricity and which would be better than Edison's method. If he hadn't taken the risk to go against one of the greatest scientists of all time , we would still be using DC current which would have suppressed the creation of advanced technology. Hence, a little level of competition is required to succeed in life.
