Short answers

1. The condition Anil put forward Hari before appointing him as servant that Hari should now how to cook and do some household works.

2. Yes, Hari was successful in robbing Anil but in the end of story he kept back all the money that he had robbed.

3. Anil said that he don't have more money to pay Hari so he said Hari that's Anil could feed him and instead of that Hari could do household work

Hari just need some shelter and food for him. So, he agreed with that and he just want a correct time to rob money.

4. As rain was starting and Hari didn't have any shelter and he also didn't know anyone except Anil. So, he decided to went back to Anil and learn more from him to become a big theif.

5. Hari missed his train.

He went to park and then the rain started.

He had some guilt feeling in his heart by robbing Anil.

  1. Before appointing Hari Singh as a servant, Anil told him that he would not give Hari regular salary. He had to cook food for both and Anil could only feed him.
  2. Yes, Hari Singh was successful in robbing Anil. ... Hari had robbed himself as well. He had lost the chance of receiving education and being literate. He had robbed Anil monetarily but he had robbed himself of the chance for a better and brighter future, which was much more valuable.
  3. When Anil initially stated his inability to pay Hari Singh, Anil simply asked him if he can lend some food and feed Hari. Hari then realized that his target of robbing the man on the other side has been foiled, and he tried to mould the situation for his own benefit. Anil then agreed to feed him if he knew how to cook.
  4. Hari Sign returns back to Anil because he shows his positive attitude after committing so many crimes. He actually realises his mistakes and understands Anil's love towards him. It shows that the caring nature of Anil changes the mind and heart of Hari Singh, and that is how he returns back.
  5. After stealing the Anil's money and leaving Anil's house, Hari went to the railway but he missed his train . He walked slowly through bazar but he didn't have any friend who would provide shelter to him.
  6. If hari singh don't pay his money after due notice sent by anil. Anil realised that Hari ran with his money when he touched the money that Hari had returned back at night. They seemed wet to touch because of the damp rain.
  7. Hari Singh stole Anil's money but due to his thoughts he came back to Anil and gave the money to Anil. He didn't say any word to Anil but he knew about Hari's deeds. But Anil gave him some money and forgave him.
  8. Hari Singh did not catch the train deliberately because Anil's goodness had transformed him; his conscience pricked him; besides, Anil had promised him he would start teaching him how to write. Hari Singh was fed up of living a life of haunting fears of being caught. He wanted to live a peaceful life.

1 . Hari Singh thought of catching the 10 o clock train to Lucknow but due to a thought missed it.

He was reminded the different types of reactions, when people loose their money. Rich man shows anger, greedy man shows fear and a poor man shows acceptance. He thought of Anil'srwaction to his theft. Anil would have shown no anger or fear but would have lost faith in people .

Moreover Hari Singh wanted to get educated and anil had promised him to teach him how to write his name.

As his this concious provoked him he returned back to anil ..just to learn to read n write .

he kept back the money,under the mattress and slept....

2. Anil was a very trusting man who earned his living in a queer way by writing for magazines. Hari Singh a thief who used to steal after taking people into confidence by becoming their acquintance.

Hari found Anil in a wrestling match audience as his next victim. After gaining access to his house by his talks, he starts to execute his plan. Anil used to teach Hari everyday to write sentences and words. Hari almost forgot that he was a thief and what his motive was, he started dreaming of a time when he would be a big,clever and respected man. Though he used to make a profit of a rupee about a day, he still had no thought of his big plan.

Even when he stole the money he did not run away. Instead the love for education and Anil's trust held him and made him realize that what he was doing was wrong. Even after Anil got to know about the theft, he kept mum and said nothing to the police. Thus, Hari Singh underwent a drastic change and started leading a lawful life. Anil's trust and his values changed Hari Singh for the good.
