Formula to be used :-

(a + b)² = a² + b² + 2ab

Solution :-

(i) (2x + 7y)²

= (2x)² + (7y)² + 2 × 2x × 7y

= 4x² + 49y² + 28xy

________________

(ii) (1/2x + 2/3y)²

= (1/2x)² + (2/3y)² + 2 × 1/2x × 2/3y

= 1/4 x² + 4/9 y² + 2/3 xy

________________

(iii) (3x - 1/2y)²

= (3x)² + (-1/2 y)² + 2 × 3x × -1/2 y

= 9x² + 1/4 y² + 6x × -1/2 y

= 9x² + 1/4 y² - 3xy
